UpScrolled is growing, which means joining now is a chance to get in at the ground level, find your people, and help shape the community from the start. Keep posting wherever you already post. Just give people another place to find you.
Here’s how to get started.
Some of these we recommend doing straight away. Others are optional.
1. Find your people with Scroll Packs
Must-Do
A new account can feel like walking into a party before anyone you know has arrived. You don’t wanna be that person, so start with Scroll Packs.
They’re collections of UpScrolled accounts built around a shared interest, industry, or community. You can follow everyone in a pack at once, or choose the individual accounts you want in your feed. It’s a short cut to finding the people you actually want in your feed, instead of letting the algorithm decide.

2. Make it easy for people to find you
Must-Do
If people already know you somewhere else, make it easy for them to find you on UpScrolled.
Add your UpScrolled handle or profile link anywhere people already look for you, such as your:
- Instagram, TikTok, or LinkedIn bio
- Website
- Newsletter
- Email signature
- Linktree or similar bio page
- Portfolio or creator page
You don’t need to replace anything. Just add UpScrolled to the mix.
If you want to make it even more visible, you can add your handle to a banner or profile image:
Also on Upscrolled: @ your handle
No scavenger hunt required.
You can also use our creator tools to let people know you’re on UpScrolled. Add them to posts on your existing platforms, then point people to your UpScrolled profile.
You can find all the creator assets here.
3. Tell your existing audience you’re here
Must-Do
You don’t need a manifesto or dramatic exit speech. You’re not going anywhere.
Just let people know there’s another place they can find you.
Post your UpScrolled handle or profile link on the platforms you already use, and pin the post if that platform allows it.
For example:
“Hey guys, I’m on UpScrolled too. Follow me there @ your handle.”
Or make it part of your regular sign-off:
“Find me on UpScrolled: @ your handle.”
Short. Clear. Done.
4. Bring your old content with you
Optional
If the platform you’re leaving has a migration or import tool, you may be able to bring some of your existing content with you, rather than starting from scratch.
If there isn’t one, don’t panic. Your UpScrolled profile doesn’t need 10 years of internet history on day one.
Just start posting.
5. Make your new profile look lived-in
Optional, but recommended
Before you invite everyone over, give them something to find when they arrive.
Add your photo, banner, bio, display name, and links, then put up a post or two. UpScrolled works like any other social media platform, so you don’t need to reinvent your content strategy just because you’ve added another channel.
Think of it less like launching from scratch, and more like setting up another corner of the internet that feels like you.
You don’t need to choose between UpScrolled and the audiences you’ve already built on other platforms. Keep what works, add something new, and let your UpScrolled presence grow alongside the rest.
That’s the advantage of getting in early: you’re not just arriving after the community has been built.
You get to help build it.

About UpScrolled
UpScrolled puts people back in control of their social media experience. Founded by Issam Hijazi, a Palestinian-Jordanian-Australian technologist, it was built on a simple principle: social media should serve people, not exploit them. No shadowbanning. No data sales. Share freely, connect safely, trust your feed. Fairness and freedom in a digital landscape that has lost its way.
