UpScrolled was built on the belief that people deserve platforms where they're heard, respected, and treated fairly. And some people will simply want to use the platform and enjoy it; others will want to support something they believe in. Both matter to us equally.
This week, we're introducing verification. Here's what that actually means.
Doesn't this just mean paying for a badge?
No. It confirms your identity. It doesn't signal status over other users. It's simply a choice, for people who want to be verified and want to directly support what they're part of.
What do subscribers get?
A verified badge, posts featured in the Discover feed, increased profile credibility and trust, and priority support. Subtle changes that enhance how you show up on UpScrolled.
Why charge for it at all?
Because how a platform makes money shapes who it answers to. Outside investment comes with outside expectations. Revenue from our community keeps accountability where it belongs, with the people actually using UpScrolled.
What does that money go towards?
Product, safety, moderation, support. All the things that make the platform worth being on.
What if I just want to use UpScrolled without paying anything?
Nothing changes for you. Completely fine, always.
What does success look like?
Simple: are the people who use UpScrolled still glad they do, five years from now?
