Update: UpScrolled Suspended from Google Play

A Message to Our Community

Our app has been suspended from Google Play on the 14th February, 2026 at 4:58 am (GMT). We know how much UpScrolled means to the millions of you who have believed in us, supported us and joined us in a matter of just weeks, and we want to be open with you about where things stand.

UpScrolled has experienced unprecedented growth, increasing from 150,000 users to millions in just over a week. That rapid expansion came with challenges, including handling content that violated our Community Guidelines. Even a platform that embraces free speech and opposes censorship, like UpScrolled, is obligated to remove content that is unlawful. Our team is managing a volume of user-generated content that no one could have anticipated. It is our responsibility to address this as quickly and effectively as possible.

Despite the challenges we're faced with, we have made every possible effort to manage this: we have expanded our moderation team, carried out comprehensive content review around the clock, and improved our reporting tools. We are in the process of deploying an advanced content moderation system. At the same time, all of these efforts are being made with the intention of preserving free speech and expression to the extent possible while complying with all applicable legal frameworks. We have been fully cooperative with the Google Play team and have good faith that the app will be reinstated soon.

We are working with Google Play to resolve the issue and have the app back on Google Play soon.
