Issam Hijazi, UpScrolled Founder and CEO joins WIRED’s David Gilbert at Dublin Tech Summit 2026 to explore that question, and make the case that the answer already exists. The session takes place on 27 May at 2:30pm (IST), as part of a wider conversation on platform trust, algorithmic culture, and what people actually want from social media.
UpScrolled is building a social platform in public, centred around transparency, chronological feeds, and a user experience that feels less engineered and more human.
As trust in legacy platforms continues to erode, this session asks what social media looks like when users stop accepting the status quo and demanding something different.
